On the way to view the perigee Supermoon the setting sun created this golden glow on the leafing out aspen and ruddy barked ponderosa pines at the edge of Transept Canyon. Come back tomorrow for my attempts at shooting the moon.

I’ll be back:) I bet your supermoon shots turned out much better than mine:) I stood for an hour setting up the equipments….and it all came out blahhhhhh……oh well. But like you’ve captured in this pic, the sunset was pretty sensational. Looks incredibly beautiful over there….love Aspen. It also looks nice and cool. It was 95 down here while I was putting the camera stuff together in Saguaro National Park:) Have a great Wednesday!
Oh yes, Gaelyn, gorgeous golden glow in the trees and along the ground too!
My favorite time of day. Beautiful pic, Gaelyn.. Looks so peaceful. Ah, nature!
Your pre-moon shot is scrumptiously beautiful — wonderful light
Great capture, I love the light.
I love early morning and near sunset light. You caught a beautiful glow on the aspen.
Love the lighting. My favorite time of day to take a hike is late afternoon. Love that soft light.
This is a lovely and tranquil shot. There is nothing quite like that new green leafy color.
