Although I thoroughly enjoy the deep blue skies above Arizona, clouds add that extra special pop to the landscape. House Rock Valley lies below the eastern edge of the Kaibab Plateau. If you follow the valley north only three miles a stop below the California Condor Vermilion Cliffs release site could yield you a sighting of these magnificent endangered birds. Continue driving north, slowly on this bumpy gravel road, about 20 miles to Wire Pass and hike into Buckskin Gulch slot canyon. Another eight miles and you’ll find yourself in Utah’s Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. East will take you to Lake Powell and Page, Arizona. While west heads to Kanab, a junction offering opportunities north to Bryce Canyon National Park, northwest to Zion National Park, or south to the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park which opens May 15th.
Where have you traveled under a cloud shadow sky?

I just did a post on the clouds I have seen over Mono Lake, CA. They were fantastic. Clouds are so cool. I have always been amazed at the different cloud formations ever since I was a young boy.
Beautiful clouds and shadows!
I always think shadows from clouds are neat, especially seen at a distance like this. I like it!
Hey, I finally made it to you blog–Yeehaw!!!
I love the clouds. We have been having some awesome clouds too–well, except when it is socked in and raining. But like I said the clouds have been spectacular. MB
Who hasn’t spend part of a summers day laying down on the green grass and looking up at the ships of clouds passing by??? Clouds are part of my good old days and my today!
I’m always a sucker for clouds 🙂 Yours are wonderful!
Spectacular. Nothing like wide open spaces – it’s a bit of heaven on earth.
Breathtaking view of earth colours and skies! A spiritual space!
