After a delicious and delightful dinner at FabGrandmas this rosy sunset over Transept Canyon bid us goodnight.
Don’t forget to watch the Supermoon, or perigee moon, Saturday night. Because the moon is the nearest to earth for the year it could appear 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than other full moons of 2012. So go out and howl at the moon. And maybe take a photo or 200.
In the mean time check out skies from around the world at Sky Watch Friday by clicking here.
Beautiful sunset!!
That is gorgeous. Diane
gorgeous color!
🙂 200 is about right…..but I will certainly try. It will require I climb to the top of my roof….you’ve in the perfect spot. Can’t wait to see you attempts:) I have issues with my camera….I’ll play with the settings….and I think it’s possible….but we shall see:)
You should be in the right spot to capture the moon, where its dark. I have quite a few spots to watch between Griffith Observatory and the Santa Monica Pier.
Have you tried to use the bulb settings in your camera? Try it with a tripod and maybe a remote.
Oh, that is a pretty sky! Gus and I did get out to see the moon tonight but not before it had risen quite high. We were misinformed that it would rise around 11:30 PM but it was already up at 10! Oh well, it was still pretty nice!
The moon was stunning. The only problem was that people couldn’t quite make up their minds if it should be Saturday or Sunday night.
I sure miss those Arizona sunsets. You’re so lucky!
