Just a few clouds provides the perfect shadowy effect on the Vermilion Cliffs. Taken while driving home to the North Rim Thursday.

The shadows in the distance are great, but I love the beautiful, wide expanse of sky!
Gorgeous road trip!!! Beautiful and open spaces. I’ve never been to the North Rim. You have me curious. Perhaps this summer we’ll come up during summer break. I’m sure the temps are cooler:) And it gives me a good excuse to use my tent.
The mountain peaks in the distance look delicately smudged, thanks to the clouds!

Driving home, thats the important part of this post.
Mmmmm what a beautiful scene before your eyes 🙂 Diane
I love to see shadows on cliffs and have taken quite a few pictures of them, but mine never turned out this well. Lovely.
