We pulled out of Grand Canyon Thursday at 10:45am, me pulling the 5th-wheel and Mike following in his jeep.
The new truck tows like a dream.
Stopped at Jacob Lake for lunch and Mike decided to look at their Native American jewelry. He bought this casted cuff bracelet made by Navajo Aaron Anderson and it came with the tufa carved mold.
We are parked at the Crazy Horse Campark in Kanab.
With a marvelous view.
Right next to the cemetery, a quiet place. We could see the 5th-wheel (center) from dinner at Escobars. Wonderful Mexican food.
Will be here a few days and having some work done on my truck early next week. So Saturday we’re going hiking in Buckskin Gulch slot canyon.
Wow, what a life! Love that canyon Gaelyn. Hope the necessary work on the truck is minimal.
That's one fine truck and trailer you have there!
I want something like that but it must go on water… ie, a barge will do just fine!
Enjoy your off-time travels…
I didn't realize how big your trailer is until I saw it hitched to your truck.
Whoops – that last photo makes me claustrophobic! Stay safe and have big adventures, Gaelyn.
Gaelyn, sounds like a great time coming up with the hike in the canyon. What a pretty place. BTW, I love the header shot, awesome capture of the Grand Canyon. I hope you are having a great weekend!
Great way to travel, Gaelyn. We had nearly 2 weeks to Montana and it was wonderful. PS: love your header photo
What a beautiful spot! I'm looking forward to pics of the slot canyon!
That rig does look good! And the view? I miss it, but I am having a very nice view myself this morning of the sunrise over the Mississippi River. Gorgeous!
Your off to a season of new adventures.
Wow, and to think you're just five miles away. well, if you are still there Sunday,10/23 that's today, we're having an Octo-burn at our place. we're in the phone book
Sad to be leaving the canyon but I know you'll find new adventures to keep you busy over the winter. Safe travels.
I love your truck and the 5th wheel. What a great camping combination. The campsite next to the cemetery is a bit weird though. Don't step outside after dark.
