The moon greeted us high above the canyon walls at Diamond Creek the last morning along the Colorado River as I awoke from a dream of being on the water.
We reluctantly packed under first light.
The deflated pontoons from the big S-rig awaited rolling and loading.
Staff stared towards the river lost in thought.
First the big S-rig.
Then the Stout.
Goodbye Colorado River, until we meet again. Traveled 138 River Miles.
We rode back towards the South Rim chattering about this amazing experience where a plane awaited Dave and I at Tusyan Airport for the final trip home.
Wow, Gaelyn. 138 kms on that amazing river and then to spend the last night under the moon surrounded by hugs rock formations. (((hugs))) Jo
Love that "Goodbye" shot, Gaelyn. Perfect with the early-morning sunshine!
What a trip! Thank you for "taking us along" thru your photos! Hugs, GraceinAZ
You guys travelled 138 miles down the river. WOW! I didn't realise the trip covered such a distance. Really a trip of a lifetime. I imagine you will be trying to go again next year.
