Although the skies have turned a crispy blue in the last few days.
The previous few weeks have been cloudy.
The aspen leaves fall.
And winter is on it’s way.
I only have two days of work left this season and although I’m ready to go it’s hard to say goodbye.
Grand Staircase Escalante
Yet I’m also excited about the upcoming road trip with some other National Parks along the way.

Nice pictures! Thank you. Happy travels!
I'm sure your winter road trip is going to be awesome. But, seems like you need a little break to catch up on posting about all your various travels… Still looking forward to more about the Lake Powell adventure:)
Happy trails!
Beautiful shots.
Sydney – City and Suburbs
It looks like a great trip, I'm looking forward to viewing the journey through your lens.
Yes, I bet it must be hard to end the season. But hey! So much excitement ahead!
These are such terrific shots and a look back! I know that it must be hard indeed to wind down a season in such a favorite place, but you always have wonderful adventures ahead and I look forward to seeing your shots from along the way. Enjoy, Gaelyn!

SKY-SEEKERS
The sky-seekers, some people say,
Do not favor night over day;
They always look up,
The sky is their cup,
And keeping it full is just play!

My favorite is the one of you with the sky for a backdrop – lovely shot!
I loved seeing your photos–and the snow! That's something I haven't seen in that part of the world. (warm weather visitor!) Your last photo is beautiful!
Now I'm going to check out your road trip post…
Oh gosh, it must be hard to leave. Yet, I envy your upcoming road trip. We very much like the Utah/Arizona/Colorado area and have visited many of the national parks…and would go back in a heartbeat if we could!
I really enjoy seeing the sky pictures from skywatchers. Where I live right now I rarely see good cloud formations. It is either overcast or clear blue.
I can really imagine that its hard to say goodbye to such a beautiful place every year. But you have lots to look forward to during winter and then there is always the returen to the Canyon next season.
I can't really think of a better job–and love seeing your perspective on the canyon. But there's always next season, and I'm sure you'll be travelling to some interesting places in the meantime.
Looking forward to your road trip as a virtual passenger!
Beautifully captured!
My Skywatch, have a nice weekend!
Nice photo set! Happy skywatching!
Your photos are just amazing, Gaelyn! You do have a wonderful job. I hope you have a safe and a wonderful trip. Tae lots of photos. Happy skywatching!
I can't wait for pics of the road trip, so I have no problem with you leaving…. So long as you're back at the canyon next year…
I think you might be finished with work this weekend, Gaelyn. Safe trip back home.
