After playing in Havasu Creek it was time to get to work which meant counting sheep while rafting the Colorado River. Yes, those are really Mountain Sheep being pointed at. Two of them hiding in the brush.
Here’s a better view.
And yet another. We counted 35 sheep along the river.
OK, so it’s not a Mountain Sheep, just an interesting craggy rock towering above the Colorado River. But it certainly distracted me from thinking of Lava Falls rapid up ahead.
Your Mountain Sheep look like deer. I love the craggy rock. Have a great weekend. (((hugs))) Jo
So did you guys keep a tally of the critters you saw during the trip?
Cool sighting of the sheep. The rafting trip had to be a cool experience, I love the photos.
i loved to see the sheep.
rafting trip? awesome!
what an amazing adventure must have been.
stunning landscape!

Love that desert sky. We sometimes see sheep just over the hill from us; they need to be protected from the cars. What a cool place to see wildlife. They don't need to worry about being a highway casualty.
Exciting! They are so amazing with their rock climbing skills.
They seem very out of place there. I wonder how many of them end up on the coals of river rafting teams like yourselves.
Wow 35 sheep—pretty cool. I still think you are being over worked. LOL MB
Very exciting to see that many sheep!
Looks like an mastadon got mired in the sand!
The craggy rock photo is beautiful!
