Three glorious days boating on Lake Powell exploring side canyons was just a tease.
The landscape of towering sandstone with barely a sign of vegetation contrasts sharply with the human created reservoir of Lake Powell.
Every minute provided new sights of overwhelming magnificence.
With over 1000 photos taken over three days on the water, this is just the first tease.

ohhhhh…Lake Powell! love the red rock and water! nice nice shots, Gaelyn!
Over 1000 photo's in 3 days..wow, I thought I was bad but I don't come close. It must make it very difficult to choose which ones to use, but they are all great photos, what an adventurous life you have.
It is an amazing place but when we were there I couldn't help but wonder what it was like before we flooded it.
It looks so peaceful there this time of the year. I bet you had the place mostly to yourselves. Will look forward to seeing some other pics of your adventure.
Oh Gaelyn, I know how that goes! you are making me miss Utah! (I lived there for 6 years but only drove past lake Powell on my way to visit my son in AZ before we moved there.)
I'm looking forward to explore it through your pics
i love your world!!
it's lovely there.
seriously stunning photos!!
betty xx
Great photos! When our kids were still at home, we'd spend a few days on Lake Powell every summer. We never got tired of exploring the side canyons.
