I’ve been trying to entice my dearest friend Berta to the North Rim for three summers. She finally made the seven hour drive and was in awe.
Our first day we explored the area around the Lodge.
Then later went to Point Imperial for moonrise.
The next day we drove out the scenic road to Cape Royal.
And worked our way back stopping at numerous canyon overlooks. Just like real tourists.
To tour more of the world go to My World Tuesday by clicking here. Or come for a visit so I can show you around the Grand Canyon North Rim.
I want to go back to the North Rim. There are many other places I want to go, also. How do I decide???
Oh, we love the north rim! We need to get back there, too!
So lovely of you to give Berta (incidentally also my mother's name) the royal treatment and show her all the sights without the effort of climbing up and down steep trails. Lovely canyon shots.
I am in awe just seeing your photos so seeing it in real life……. Diane
the north rim looks an amazing place!
lovely shots, my fave is the last one.
truly gorgeous!
have a great week ahead!
betty xx
Spectacular moon shot, Gaelyn. Sometimes, it's great to see things through the eyes of someone new. Glad Berta could visit finally.
At least now she knows what she has been missing.
Majestic views!
I will drive seven hours for that. Its the 24 odd hour plus flights with layovers and the cost of it that's keeping me away at this stage.
That would be well worth traveling seven hours to see! What a wonderful setting to have a visit with a friend.
I really like the moonrise over the canyon. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing your travel photos.
I'll bet you had fun being a tourist with your friend. Glad she was able to make the trip. The photos are beautiful!
Gaelyn, I love your world!
I would do the tourist thing all day! All week… all year! I don't know how you can fit work in when you live in that heaven! 😉
