I've been thinking that with your stressful situation that birding might be how you get away both physically and mentally.
The birds are sending you a message with that smile in the sky.
Nice shots.
Great pics, love the birds! I really like your blogging-makes me smile:)
That bird house looks like a sea-side cottage!
Nothing like a blue sky and a bird or several passing by to destress.
Soon you'll have everything packed up and be on your way back home. In the meantime, keep enjoying what nature has to offer.
Are you still there? What happened? I did not know swifts nested in houses like that! Amazing! Yes, birds have saved me from many a gloomy day. I'm so glad they are helping you!
It's cool to see them lined up in formation!
It does look like the sky is smiling with the ducks. The swifts sure do like that big house. Cool pics!
Birds of a feather…a beautiful sky watch post.
Oh please send of that blue sky my way! Don't work too hard this weekend.
Our swallows are departing for warmer playing fields at the moment.
Hello, Gaelyn! I would love to see the Black Bellied Whistling ducks. Love the bird photos, I am glad you are into birding while in Texas. It is a great place to see the birds now.
Nature has a way of healing us all. I am glad there are a plethora of birds for you to capture. MB

So glad the birds can help make this whole process easier for you…There sure are some awesome birds there!
Observing nature is soul-healing, no matter where you are. I'm glad the birding has helped you get through a difficult time. You've certainly seen a lot of unusual ones.
Those whistling ducks would have been lifers for me!
Your swifts look like they could possibly be purple martins (the females and sub-adults usually have the lighter colored tummies).
