These crazy ducks also perch on high wires, which I haven’t seen yet.
Sorry for the poor quality photos. Just learned that the phone camera doesn’t zoom very well.

Those are some cool looking ducks. Is that a grackle to the left of them on the bottom pic?

Yes Jazz, that's a grackle. They are everywhere!
Ducks and Grackles, you are surrounded, not even counting the squirrels and Texans.
Now I'd like to see ducks on a high wire, I can't even imagine it with their webbed feet! They are handsome.
Hope all is well Gaelyn and yes that was a halo around the sun, another sign of changing weather…rain, lots of it last night and this morning.
Blessings and smiles
Those are strange looking ducks. Another one I'll have to look for next time I am in the Valley.
I can't imagine ducks curling their little webbed feet around a wire…but, ducks are pretty talented little critters!
At least the phone is handy when you need it.
Now I.M. knows why them ducks float. Their scrappin' the tar off'n them there rooves onto they're bellies, which is then waterproofed, makin' it so they don't sink.

What a birdy place! I had no idea a phone camera could zoom at all.
That black one in the second picture does not swim very good. Love it.
Very interesting. On a wire? It is strange to see them on top of a house.
We set a record for the amount of rain in March and so far in April-(2days)-it has done nothing but pour the wet stuff. Yikes!! MB
Gaelyn, they are cool looking ducks and would be a lifer for me. Great sighting and a neat look at the sky. Happy skywatching!
Your mom's place really seem to attract a lot of different birds.
