As close to horizon as I got
As most of you know I’m visiting my Mom in South Texas, a place I’d rather not be yet with a person I love dearly.
I’ve been bitching about the awful weather here which I suppose many enjoy. Yet coming from the dryness of Arizona to this has proven to be a major adjustment. Thus the head cold I suppose.
Sunday: 88 F and 76% humidity San Benito, Texas vs 59 F and 27% humidity even with a possible 80% chance of showers on the way back home in Yarnell, Arizona.
Everything just seems moist, clothes, bedding, me.
Other than that, life is good!

Don't we take the good with the bad, the full moon with the humidity, and roll it all up and tuck it in its own spot near our heart, and call it life. I like your new mast head, too. Have a safe journey home to AZ.
Gaelyn, I've seen many full moon photos around the blogosphere today but honestly yours are really special!
STUNNING!

Oh, very pretty starburst effect with full moon and clouds. My mom tried living in Tucson for a few years but said it was too humid for her.
I agree about the weather down south. The dry climate in Utah suits me much better.
Lovely moon shots. Hope you're enjoying your visit with your mom.
I haven't been to San Benito but I have been to Houston in all seasons; I could feel myself mildew.
Nice photos of the big moon.
Fantastic moon shots, Gaelyn! I feel for you in that humidity–having grown up in soCal, I was most miserable in the humidity of Atlantic City, NJ, and in Florida. Hope it cools off soon for you.
Gaelyn – what great Moon shots (I didn't get any, so I'll enjoy yours.) Humidity and I don't do well – give me desert or mountains. However – your Mom is where the heat is!
Terrific shots of the moon, Gaelyn! Glad you're having some time with your Mom, but surely don't envy you the humidity!! I was born in Texas and grew up there and I had enough humidity to last me a lifetime!!! Have a great week!

Gaelyn, you and I are both dry climate people! I absolutely HATE humidity! Although I grew up with it I have never adjusted to it. The dryness is just one of the many reasons I love the mountain west! I cannot believe it is that humid there already though! I'm glad you got to spend time with your Mom!
It's great to see a gorgeous shot of the full moon today. I haven't seen any like the very first shot you shared. That's just fabulous.
Wasn't that full moon spectacular? Wow! Your photos of it are fun!
Yes, I have to agree, I learned last summer that the humidity is not my favorite thing to experience. I am grateful to live in an area that has DRY heat! I hope all is well, and that you and your mom are enjoying all your time together!
I really like your first picture. I think I would take some heat, even with humidity right now.
Beautiful moon. Wish I could've gotten such a great shot of it, as you did.
Unfortunately we had clouds with the big moon…wish it would have been clear.
When we were in Big Bend last year, the skies were amazing. If you are ever near Fort Davis on a clear Saturday night (north of Alpine), make sure to visit the McDonald Observatory for a star party… Using the telescopes there was terrific…not to mention having a tour guide of the stars!
Those are great, eerie moon shots. I agree about the weather, that's too hot and humid for me, and it's only March!
It looks like everybody all over the world photographed and posted about the super moon.
Well if you are where you don't want to be the weather is always the worsr. Come back to the cool cool PNW.
I am sure Yarnell Az. Misses you too.
neat moon and say hello to Mom. MB
If it's any consolation, I'm a bit congested, too. Hang in there Dear, things will get better soon. 🙂
I tried super moon pics on Saturday morning (5:30AM). Friday's pics were better, but when I packed up to go home, I had frost on the tripod. Brrrr…
Wasn't it amazing???!!!! I just got cold and had to come in. The wolves howling at the nighbour's dogs weren't much to warm the cockles of my heart!
Nice pics, Gaelyn. Sorry you've gotten a head cold down there. 🙁
