Even with the wind blowing I thoroughly enjoyed False Bay drive from east to west with many stops along the way.
The rock lined roadway reminded me of several historic roads I’ve traveled in the western states like Highway 1 along the Pacific coast.
Kogelburg Biosphere Reserve
Plenty of wide places to pull off “Jack’s” road and just enjoy the view or small parks with picnic facilities.
So nice to see almost all of the False Bay coast starting on the east, following around the north including a little unexpected detour through a shopping mall parking lot near Somerset West.
Then the west with more beach stops.
one of my favorite things is watching fog move over mountains like that, so beautiful! And so fun to just plain stare at. Love the photos in this post!
You always seem to find the most amazing views!!
Oh boy and can that wind blow. I remember at times it was almost impossible to open the car door it was so strong. Beautiful photos. Enjoy catching up with your mother. Take care, Diane
Hi Gaelyn, Those clouds are wonderful – like big powder puffs above the rocks and the water.
What awesome scenery—
I hope you have a safe drive to TX!
The road around the False Bay coast is one of the most beautiful and awe inspiring roads in South Africa. And those big white clouds make it even more beautiful.
Gorgeous skies….
Check out Alexa's The Road is Mine blog (see my sidebar). She has a beautiful photo of the Grand Canyon…
What beautiful views!
the last post you were headed to Texas, are you in Africa now?
Your photos are dreamy gorgeous and remind me of New Zealand.
Soooo pretty! I'll never tire of looking at photos of the South African coast.
The beach photos are just gorgeous. I could fall in love with that coastline.
