During the snow storm last weekend all I had out to feed the birds was a seed bell which had been hanging for almost a month and getting very little attention. But I guess if one is hungry enough they will get food from any angle possible.

Hi Gaelyn, we used to hang a similar seed bell in the Khartoum budgies' cage. They always made short work of it in not time at all! Your photo is AMAZING. (((hugs))) Jo
It looks like a contortionist! Diane
This photo really made me smile. A hungry and flexible bird!
That's a cute pose by the cardinal. It looks like you were very close.
I am glad you had the seed bell. It probably saved that bird's life. They can't diet for very long. I mean a day or two and they are dead birds.
No fair!! You have cardinals in Arizona. They are one of my favorites. I love the bright red plumage and their orange lipstick beaks. I wish we had them up here.
How great it must be having birds come to your garden even in winter.
Like Sally said, I wish we had Cardinals up this way. A teardrop fell…….MB
This is so beautiful. When I was a little girl, a cardinal and his mate would often come to nibble on seeds we put outside our kitchen window. I sat very still and watched.
When the easy stuff is gone they will take what they can get. That's why I left a suet cake when we went to Santa Cruz and that was gone too when we returned.
The world often tastes better when experienced from the reverse position.
Cute capure! Eventually, the birds will find the food.
He definitely looks like he's enjoying it!
The cardinal is working hard on the bell. Great shot of his gymnastics.
