I have really been feeling the need for a good nature fix and the count down of 2.5 days left until our canyon hike has given me something to hold on to. Plus of course, watching the birds.
But this morning I felt a thrill into my heart and down to my toes when this lovely grey fox decided to check out the bird feeding area.
It stared right at us through the window when Mike made a noise like a distressed rabbit.
Foxy may have enjoyed a little feathered breakfast.
Then slipped off next door.
Oh my gosh, he (she?) is so lovely! Great capture!
Wow, he really was a beauty in his brand new winter coat! Lucky you to get such good pictures too and have a resident distressed rabbit mimic.
Happy Thanksgiving to you both.
Wonderful shots! Have a nice holiday, and a great hike in the canyon.
Wow, I can actually imagine you heart jumping at his sight.
Gaelyn he/she is beautiful. Stunning photos. Diane
He/she is lovely….look at those eyes.
Hey–my word verification is 'mamie'—maybe it's a girl and that's her name….
So cool! I've never seen a fox in the wild. I'm fascinated by her colors and black tail stripe. Beautiful photos. 😀
That critter is beautiful. He also looks like he eats regularly.
Have a great Thanksgiving.
What a beauty. Nature is so wonderful when we sit back and keep our eyes on the look out. Happy Thanksgiving Day to you.
He's a beauty! You were so lucky to have him appear right outside the window. Great photo!
Lucky you! I have had 2 brief glimpses of foxes over the years. You took terrific pictures.
Truly awesome and exciting communion with such a wonderful spirit of the wild and free!
What a beautiful animal!
