I was told, many times, usually by Texans, that 'Ever'things bigger here ma am.' But this is ridiculous- can't imagine the size of the ommelette needed to take that filling.
I have often wished I could identify edible mushrooms. This spring some sprung up in my garden that sure looked like morels but I wasn't sure so into the trash they went.
I'm moving this weekend and I just discovered a bag of my kids' Smurfs….now you've given me an idea…. If I find Papa Smurf and a toadstool or large fungus, I'll take a photo and link back to you.
Hi Gaelyn, I wonder why this fungus got the yellow coloring? One that I photographed had it, too – I thought it was where it was growing, but now think it's inherent to the fungus.
Hi Gaelyn…
I don't think I have ever seen any this large. There must be a lot of some kind of root in the process of decaying.
Wow, that looks like one funky looking boletus. ?
It looks like a cake covered with chocolate sauce to me:-) Diane
Gaelyn: I loved to watch Papa Smurf and the gang with the kids. Very neat capture of his house.
Oh, you are funny!

Huh. Well then, thar ya go. Should make one helluva omelet, eh? Fascinating…..and not a little scary. Like "The Blob," but real…
It is a marvel. Crazy looking, but marvelous.

Looks like there is lots of room for the whole family. 🙂
That doesn't look like any mushroom I've ever seen. Very unusual.

That does look just like it…lol
Ha, pretty funny. I can just imagine a blue Smurf popping out.
