Once a week my schedule takes me to the Walhalla Plateau where I give a 1pm talk about the history of Southwest Archeology at Walhalla Overlook. I was there last Tuesday and saw blooms at Cape Royal.
Plus I gave a 2:30 geology talk at the end of the road on Cape Royal.
Prickly pear cactus and sego lily
I love seeing how the blooms change weekly.
Wax currant beginning to fruit
Cliffrose showing its feathery tail fruit
Paintbrush
Wonder what will be blooming next week?
Great nature lessson. I really like the photo showing the flat line of the horizon across the canyon.
Beautiful stuff. The photos capture strange flowers but they are so nice to see. What do you talk about in archeology?
Beautiful pictures and scenery, but I particularly love the cliffrose, it is very unusual. Diane
Love the wildflowers—I am always out and about looking at them. Would love to hear you talk.

Hi Gaelyn, The view from Cape Royal is incredible! And, I always enjoy seeing what grows and blooms in your area.
It is always a wonder to see the desert in bloom as it is so spectacular.
