Lookout Studio, designed by Mary Colter and built to compete with Kolb Studio in 1914, sits along the South Rim offering deck and balcony views into and across Grand Canyon. It is now operated as a gift shop selling books, postcards and souvenirs.

Beautiful!
…..Home away from Home…..
Bernie is right. That is the way I feel about Kruger as well. 🙂
Beeautiful shot, Gaelyn!
Been there…love the Grand Canyon and your shot, Gaelyn. !!!
Wow what a place! Great photo!
What a beautiful place! I don't think I would dare enter that shop though, cause I'm really afraid of heights.
Beautiful and precariously perched on the edge of that rim!
Gaelyn: She did a wonderful job of matching the surroundings.
One of most favorite places. What month do you start back?
I really have to get over to the south rim some day–that's beautiful!
The view from there allways gave me the sensation of flying!
Such a lovely design, blends right in with the scenery and looks so pretty with the snow around.
Wow.I would love to visit Gaelyn.. Michelle
So nice to be able to say " I've been there!!" Hope you are not snowed in.
Nice studio, and boy, would it be cool to live there.
I love how it blends into the rocks. I think I've never been in this place. When I've been to the South Rim (twice), it was so crowded I wanted to get a peek and get out as fast as I could!
That place must have such an awesome view.
I actually remember being inside that shop. 🙂 It's a long way down to the river!
