This was two weeks ago on the Walhalla Plateau. The hillsides were golden from Midas’ touch. This was yesterday. It looks like someone spent most of the gold.
the trees look so bare! I like your sunsets at Grand Canyon. I also really like the Joshua Tree and Salton Sea. I would like to go there someday. Congratulations on your one year anniversary! I am glad you liked the cliff rose photo. It is such a tiny little critter and very hard to see these tiny fuzzy little hairs. Most people would walk by and not see it. Thanks for all of your comments and contributions on our site. You have great observations and thanks for letting me know that the C4 condor is a four year old female.
We have some lovely trees, still. As you have seen. You are one of my faithful readers. Thank you!
I know you saw today's post. Snow fell. It was miraculous. I love the changes. I know I should mourn the leaves, but they are still about. The colours are brilliant. THe animals frantic to feed. I have all the bird/squirrel feeders stocked up.
They ran through that gold pretty quick; no savings! Here the leaves are somewhat still green, but it's been dry so long that they're falling off that way.
It sure looks like someone held up the gold convoy!
This is a great post. Such a simple but effective idea. I wonder what the gold paid for??
Great "before and after" series…We so often forget what we saw earlier. One nice thought…the gold will return next year!
Gaelyn: Amazing how quickly they can go bare so quickly.
You definitely have to pay attention or you'll miss something.
I have noticed that Mother Nature does not waste time up here–it seems like it went from green to gold to bare in the blink of an eye.

Yes, someone went on a spending binge here in CO, too!
Hahaha, the leaves spend gold just like they do on Wall Street!
Great comparison. I'm surprised how quickly the scenery changed.

Good thing you took a picture. Unbelieveable how quickly the leaves fell. Inbetween was there more color??
Oh gosh!! Winter is just around the corner.
Great series of pictures. It is amazing how quickly the leaves turn and disappear. Our aspen are still mostly green, but starting to change fast.
Very funny! Love the wit!

Jislaaik! Its seems that when Fall falls, it comes down crashing. Amazing how quickly it changes over there by you.
wow…what a difference the fall makes..just a few months and leaves gone..what happened to the leaves …when they used to be there..
ok i dont know if u got that i was singing that to what a difference a day makes…..
