OK, I need to nominate 7 Kreativ Bloggers. Only 7! There are so many more who are worthy.
1. Karen, the Fab Grandma writes a very creative and diverse blog. She and Fab Grandpa live in an RV like I do and we all currently work at Grand Canyon National Park. I love her outlook on life and always look forward to a new post. Thanks for introducing me to blogging.
2. Ruthie at Nature Knitter introduces me to the nature around her in Minnesota plus I love her beautiful knitted creations. She is a natural naturalist.
4. Joan from SAPhotographs has one of the most interesting blogs around. You never know what kind of bugs or beasts she may share from South Africa. Plus every Monday she stumps most of us with a mystery photo.
5. Kristin from Camels and Chocolate travels the world as a journalist, which is something I’ve dreamed of doing. She has a very humorous way of seeing the world and I love visiting places virtually with her. At least until I get to go myself.
7. Arija from Garden Delights is a poet of the Earth Mother. She shares stunning images from South Australia and other places she travels. The drought threatens her green thumb but she perseveres and finds the beauty of life.
Now for 7 things about myself that you might find interesting.
1. I collect and create jewelry because a woman can never have too much jewelry. Even in hard economic times we will embellish. Plus I call it my retirement.
2. I aspire to be a paid travel writer. I already travel and write. Now if I can just find someone to pay me for it. My list of places to visit gets longer every year.
3. I love an audience, so being a National Park Ranger is perfect. And so is blogging. Thanks to all of you who read and follow.
4. I need to let go of my way too Big Ego.
5. I truly dislike housework even though I live in a 27 foot RV and it probably wouldn’t take long. I can live with the dusty velvet on all my chachkis.
6. I only recently started to consider myself a photographer. Yes, just an amateur, but certainly a step above the average.
7. I hope to continue learning until the day I die.
You do have a fantastic blog Gaelyn and I always find it most informative. The Grand Canyon will always have a special place in my heart and you keep it alive for me.
Thanks you for this award. It is much appreciated.
I am honoured and astonished Gaelyn, thank you. I have been following your adventures for some time now and the only post I could easily have done without, was the one that I also shed a tear over.
For heavens sake do not do anything about your point 4, that is what makes you a great showmaid, if you shrank it the masses of tourists would lose out.
It may take some time for me to post your kind award as a) finding 7 things to say about myself may drain my brain and b) all that linking I have not yet mastered and need my daughter to return from San Francisco in two three weeks time to help me with or I may strain my brain and that would never do!
Hi Gaelyn,
Thanks so much for the award and your kind words. I enjoy all of your posts, so I think you're already there as a travel writer. Surely a magazine somewhere would pay to have your stories.
I'll be out of town visiting family for most of the next two weeks, posting in the time-delayed mode, so it'll be awhile before I pass this on, just so you know why it doesn't show up right away.
Janie
Cograts on your well deserved award Gaelyn, I love your travel writing. We are also of the same mind on jewelry and housework LOL!
Thank you, I am honored to be considered for a blogger award. This post is interesting and fun because I get to learn more about you and the bloggers you linked to. You are a fine travel writer and nature photographer. As they say "Do what you love, the money will follow."
You did a lovely job passing on the award and I will go and check out the blogs that I haven't visited before…
Michelle From Rambling Woods
Congrats, Gaelyn. I did my award post today, too!
Aww, you're so sweet, THANK YOU! I love following your adventures and reading about another job I think is equally as cool, too!
"I aspire to be a paid travel writer. I already travel and write. Now if I can just find someone to pay me for it. My list of places to visit gets longer every year"
Good luck on this goal. You would be great at it!
Sorry I'm late…..
Thanks so much for the award Gaelyn. I'm very honored to be included in such a group and I hope to do a post and pass it on soon.
