I’ve been looking for a slide-in cabover camper to put on my truck for months so I can go camping. Yes, I do live in a 5th-wheel RV, that’s my 27-foot home. I want to go camping. And I’ve mostly outgrown tenting and sleeping on the ground. I like a few creature comforts, like a bed, sink, stove, and toilet. So I’m spoiled, I deserve it.
The truck is ready
Tomorrow I’m driving to Quartzsite about 100 miles southwest to look at a camper that friend Ron found. If it all works out, I plan to take a little road trip, maybe Gila Bend’s Painted Rocks Park, Casa Grande National Monument, camping in the middle of nowhere desert and hunting for pretty rocks and spring blooms.

Oh you lucky dog! I have been wanting to go camping but someone I know is a party pooper on that.
Have fun on your road trip Gaelyn. I hope you find a suitable fit to your truck. I hope to see some of the pix of the flowers you will be seeing. There’s a few plants like Indian Plum that are starting to leaf and bloom up here near the border of Canada.
That sounds good Gaelyn. I still enjoy sleeping on the ground and roughing it. 🙂
So it will be like a second home/vacation home. 🙂
I hope you have a beautiful trip, and find some treasures.
i think you deserve some creature comforts to make camping a little more civilized 🙂
hope the camper piece works out.
have a good day,
hugs
I am with you when it comes to sleeping on the ground. I will stay in a tiny cabin with a floor and bed and no other amenities rather than a tent. Your trip sounds interesting.
I hope everything works out!! I look forward to seeing the pictures from your adventure!
That excursion sound ideal. Looking for pretty rocks and flowers… ah. Hope the camper works out for you.
And I so envy you:) Miss being with nature nowadays.
You’re so brave to go camping by yourself in the middle of nowhere – I’m in awe!
