Good thing I took photos of this Venus Transit as I don’t think I’ll live to be 163 when the next one occurs.

Good shot! We were glad we saved our glasses from the eclipse so we got to see the Venus Transit as well!
So cool! It was cloudy here in New England so I had to watch the transit on NASA. Great picture!
Gaelyn, You and that new camera are awesome! I also love the Header. You need to take some time for a long walk on your next day off. You deserve it!

Isn’t it amazing that we can see the same sight and yet be so far from one another?
How awesome to view the transit from the Grand Canyon, beautiful shot!
Great capture, Gaelyn! Thanks for sharing, I do not think the East coast was even able to see it. Happy Skywatching!
Awesome capture, Gaelyn!! I had hoped to get one, but, surprise, surprise! It was raining in Seattle!! Nope, not likely to be around for the next one, that’s for sure!! Have a great weekend!

Lucky you, to have the equipment to photograph the Venus transit. All I could do was watch online!

Good line, and good photo too!
Nice picture – I had a good look, but no pictures. Better luck next time I suppose?

I love this shot. I almost didn’t head out, but a friend called me as the sun was dipping toward the horizon. I took my son with me and we watched in awe – what an amazing experience it was.
Blogged about it here: http://bit.ly/LqW4gI
So glad you got to see and capture this spectacular event. We were in the midst of a wind and sandstorm so views, let alone being outside, were out of the question.
163 years is a long time to wait for the next one……. Great shot. Diane
At lease you got to see it!
Alas, the great Irish summer robbed us of a sighting… so, I’ll have to hang around for the next transit! Haha… 😉
How exciting that you saw the transit and got photos of it!!
Great photo of the transit! True, I don’t think any of us will be around for the next transit unless someone discovers the fountain of youth!
