May 072012
The snow lingers only in the shade.
The ice is off the ponds.
White flowers spread across the meadows.
While mule deer browse the fresh greens.
It must be spring on the north Kaibab National Forest, and at the canyon too.
State Route 67 will open May 15th for you to see it with your own eyes. That would be on your way to Grand Canyon National Park. Hope you’ll come by and say hello.

Love the shots of the Supermoon!!:) Beautimus! It’s hard to believe that snow is still up there. Sounds like a nice change from the 100 degree weather here! Yuck! Elk, mule deer….very nice. Has prep been crazy before the grand opening? Love your pictures!
Hi…Now it’s working!! Love the pics, especially the full moon. I’m now sorting my shots for a blog update soon.

It certainly is awakening to Spring. Great shot!
That’s a nice shot of the moon! I was not able to even go out to take a peek at the moon, was too tired from our trip to Santa Barbara.

Great pics. I have pictures of the beach to share this week.
Gaelyn, you don’t know how much I wish I could stop by and say hallo. It is not just the spectacle that is the Grand Canyon but the native vegetation and fauna that draws me like a magnet aside from meeting you of course.

I so very much enjoy your wonderful photographs of the magnificent scenery you see every day. It must have been wonderful seeing the perigee moon in an atmosphere without all the light pollution we have here in Atlanta.
