I actually got up early enough to get to the rim for, not quite sunrise, my first morning at Grand Canyon.
However I did see the first light on the canyon walls and temples highlight the reds and golds of the upper most rock layers.
What a way to start the day!
With a wary greeting by this mule deer buck along the trail back to my truck.

Those scenes must have been a thrill after so many weeks of not seeing the Canyon. I love the progression. Such beautiful colors. And the buck is not that fearful of you!
